Tyres & Tracking
We are able to inspect your vehicle tyres to ensure they are legal and safe as well as provide replacement tyres and perform same day tyre tracking and alignment.
We also carry out puncture repairs, wheel balancing, removal of tyres from rim, wheel balancing, TPMS reset and rotation of tyres from front to rear and vice versa prolonging life.
What is the minimum legal tyre depth?
For cars & light vans the minimum tyre depth is 1.6 Millimetres.
Will I Need Wheel Alignment?
We won’t know until we get your vehicle and check the alignment, however you can often tell if you require tracking by the scrub on the tyre and if there is uneven tyre wear.
When we have looked over the condition of your tyres and tested the vehicle tracking we will be able to advise whether tracking is required.
We will never proceed with correcting your vehicle tracking without your permission.
What You Need With You On Your Visit
When you are happy with our price for the tyres, you will want to make sure you bring any locking wheel nuts if your vehicle has them fitted.
A locking wheel nut is simply a special key to remove the wheel and are designed to stop people stealing the wheel. Quite often this will be located in either in the boot along with your spare wheel, or inside your glove box.
If you are unable to locate your locking wheel nuts we can remove them at an additional cost. But don’t panic we are always upfront with any extra costs and will of course check to confirm you do have locking wheel nuts in the first place!
